E. Osborn - T. Fitzsimmons American Legion Post 521 of Montgomery is proud to announce the Salute to Veterans for the 2010 Montgomery Bicentennial.

To pay respect & honor the service and sacrifice of all local Veterans, especially members of the "Greatest Generation" still with us. Special attention will also be paid to the Revolutionary War, Civil War, the Great Wars, Korean Conflict, Vietnam, and Iraq/Afghanistan.
This presentation will be conducted on August 28, 2010 from 10am-5pm at Veteran's Park by Living Historians and Reenactors in period uniforms. Displays will include vehicles, equipment, uniforms and weapons from the various historical periods. The Living Historians will be presenting the history and the equipment of the average American Soldier from a first person perspective. They will be demonstrating the use of their weapons, and answering questions about their vehicles and equipment. Come out and join us in celebrating the service of our Veterans.
